The Lady Otters were not able to pull together and fell to CSU San Bernardino 74-50 on Feb. 2.

The Otters were in trouble from the get go, their shots were not going in and their passes were going straight to the other team. The Otters found themselves in a huge deficit early, and were never able to retain any semblance of structure in the first half, leaving them behind the CSUSB Coyotes 36-15, with Dana Andrews, a guard and Business junior the leading scorer with 8 points.

Down big starting the second half, things did not get better for the Lady Otters who were unable to grab rebounds. San Bernardino was able to shoot at will from the perimeter due to the lack of defense played by the Lady Otters. One of the few things the Otters were able to do, was execute an effective press, which gleaned them several turnovers.

"In the second half we put more pressure on them and forced them to have more turnovers," said Krista Herr, a forward and Social and Behavioral Sciences senior who had 6 points on the night. "We need to have a good week of practice, and need to learn from our mistakes this weekend."

The Lady Otters found themselves in early foul trouble in the second half, causing several players to sit for extended time. At one point during the second half the Lady Otters found themselves down by 28 points. Coach Amber Magner then put in several of her reserve players who gave the Lady Otters a Spark. Alisha Taylor, a guard and Human Performance and Wellness senior and Arleen Agustin-Costa, a guard and Kinesiology sophomore contributed 4 points between them though it was not enough to bring the Lady Otters back into the game.

The Lady Otters are on a 13 game losing streak, and are hoping for a win next week against CSU Stanislaus at the Kelp Bed on Feb.8 at 5:30 p.m.
