Otter College Republicans Named Chapter of the Year

Early in May, Otter College Republicans (OCR) was awarded “Chapter of the Year” by California College Republicans (CCR). OCR Chair Hannah Plummer accepted the award at CCR’s Convention in San Diego.

“This award would not be possible without the strong efforts of each and every club member. I can’t thank them enough for the hard work, determination, and enthusiasm that each person brought to the club. My leadership team was rock solid and willing to stir up controversy on campus,” she said in a statement.

OCR stood out for its campus involvement for the 9/11 Memorial, which was in collaboration with CSUMB College Democrats, the GPA Redistribution Petition, and the Illegal Immigration Bake Sale – which caused attention from the Otter Cross Cultural Center.
