Spring Break for Cheap

Some students just don’t have the money or the permission from work to take a weeklong trip to an exotic beach or foreign country. If you are into nature simply take a trip up to Big Sur to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. This park features redwood tan oak, madrone, chaparral, and an 80-foot waterfall that drops from granite cliffs into the ocean from the Overlook Trail. Maybe you are one of those persons who loves the outdoors but are more of a history buff then you should try Carmel Walks in Monterey, this is an inexpensive and spectacular two-hour guided tour takes you through all the hot spots, back streets and secret pathways of this unique town. See places haunted by famous authors and artists. See historical buildings and many off-the-beaten-track places all located near the beach for just twenty dollars. If these two options are still not of interest try spending some time whale watching for 18 dollars enjoy a two-hour tour where you can see thousands of whales in the Monterey Bay. In the early part of the year, you can see the gray whales as they migrate to and from Alaska. Also in sight will be sea otters, sea lions, and many dolphins. Still not intrigued? Take a trip down to Sand City sit on the big sand dunes and watch the sunrise or the sunset it’s free! So if you are staying around for the break don’t sit on your butt get up and do something Spring Break is what you make of it.
